I was taught to knit as a child, but not how to read patterns, or know what stitches I was doing..
fast forward MANY years...
A book called "Knitting basics : all you need to know to take up your needles and get knitting" by Betty Barnden, came in as a new book at the library. I decided that it was such a good explanation of things that I would buy it.. IT cracked the CODE on knitting explanations for me.
I had been knitting tube socks the last few years... not attempting heels since a first attempt that ended up with 3 heels! lol
